The Friends of Camp Gorton, LTD

A domestic Not-For-Profit Corporation (NFPC) organized to provide financial and personnel resources to Camp Gorton, on a project basis, so that the facilities are maintained and/or expanded to meet the highest quality levels, to benefit the community, youth and families who attend the camp.

New roof installed on Maintenance Building – Hale Roofing

Memorial Lodge Boat Launch

•Construction of new boat launch slab at Memorial Lodge.

•Donated:

Rifle Range Pavillion

•Replaced a section of the Rifle Range Pavilion slab and new foundation.

•Donated:

Juice Works

•Completed the PM on the main electrical distribution panel.

–Schuler Haas – Donation

•Replaced & repaired existing siding.

•Replaced existing access door.

Algonquin Latrine Roof

•Replaced the damage roof on the Algonquin latrine with new metal roofing.

•Materials donated by Welliver – $487

•Labor donated by the locate Carpenters Union

 

 

Latrine Doors

•Installing new doors at 15 latrines on individual latrine stalls (45) to address the inclusion of girls into Scouting and the potential for them to attend summer camp.

•Project Cost: $4,000

Rifle Range Improvements

•Major improvements were made to the Rifle Range in 2018:

–New French drain system

–New skeet range

–Regraded site
