Thank you for supporting the Scouting program in the Twin Tiers!

Did you know that cash contributions from individuals and corporations provide over 25% of the program cost of Scouting? Your contribution is vital to maintaining and improving our Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Exploring, and Camp Gorton programs. Friends of Scouting (FOS)

This is our annual campaign to generate unrestricted contributions, which allows the Council the greatest flexibility for using funds. Your tax-deductible gift supports:

District-level youth activities such as Cub Scout Camp-o-Ree and Klondike Derby
Volunteer leadership training such as BALOO and ITOLS
Start-up funding for new units for basics such as flags and banners
Camperships for Camp Gorton summer programs
Hiring professional staff to design and execute top-quality Scout programs
Administrative and promotional support for units
And so much more!

Other Ways to Support Scouting

Endowment Fund	This is an investment fund designed to grow over time. New donations will be added to the principal, and interest generated by the capital in this fund is used to support programming and other expenses.
Events	Fundraising events are held throughout the year, including: Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner Joseph J. Monago Five Rivers Council Golf Tournament Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner A Night on the Town
Gifts in Kind	Gifts in Kind are non-monetary donations of services or goods to the Council. Check out our wish list for Camp Gorton or choose from the following: Construction, plumbing, or maintenance services Building materials or supplies for various projects Advertising and design services Tires, vehicle, and boat oil, or gas or propane (camp vehicles and mowers) Office supplies Food Activity equipment – aquatic, shooting, geocaching, various sports, etc. Facilities & maintenance equipment – water tank, mowers & blades, tools, etc.
Sponsorships	Associating a company’s, group’s, or individual’s support with a particular cause can make a lasting impact on a Scout and the community. Sponsorships may be customized and are available in many categories.
Tribute/Memorial	Donate in honor of someone for recognition by the Five Rivers Council.
Camperships	Financially assist a Scout and their family to have a summer camp experience.
Friends of Camp Gorton	Focused fundraising and capability building for Camp Gorton
