Dear Five Rivers Council Volunteers and Staff,
Over the last several months life certainly has been different for all of us. At this time I hope that you and your families are all doing well. Since we last met on a Town Hall back in March there has been a lot of thins that have changed. Many of you have learned how to use Zoom or other web based tools to meet virtually with your Scouts and even teach Merit Badges. Our Council committees have been working hard to look at all options of programming for our units as well as watching State and National guidelines closely. To this end, I would like to invite all leaders and parents to a special Town Hall meeting of the Council. We know that this is short notice and we hope that many of you will be able to make it for the call. If you are unable to make it, we will have a recording of the video posted within a day after the call. The meeting will be on Friday May 29th at 6:30 PM.
The topics of the call will include an update on Summer programs including Cub Scout Day Camp, Cub Scout Adventure Camp and Scouts BSA Resident Camp. We will also be discussing guidelines for opening your unit back up to in person meetings. Please keep in mind many of the guidelines that we will be sharing will include the need for Unit Leaders to follow State and Federal Guidelines. This will be the responsibility of the Unit Leaders to search out and follow.
The call will start at 6:30 PM. Please be sure to log on a few minutes early so that we can start on time. The call as you can see will become accessible at 6:00, but we will not start the meeting until 6:30 PM.
