Districts

Redistrict Announcement
As part of the council merger process, the Five Rivers Council has been redistricted into two districts. This process was approved by the council executive committee following a comprehensive review to ensure our council territory and membership were apportioned evenly.
The redistricting committee reviewed different district configurations based on number of units, membership registrations, district volunteer leadership, and total available youth. In consultation with and approval of district volunteer leadership, our council will have a “Western” district and “Eastern” district.
The “Western” District will join the former Thunderbird and Williamson Road Districts (Allegany, Livingston, and Steuben Counties in New York and Tioga County in Pennsylvania).
The “Eastern” District will join the former Andaste and Indian Waters Districts (Lycoming, Bradford, and Sullivan Counties in Pennsylvania and Chemung and Schuyler Counties in New York).
During the course of the next couple of months, official district names, and leadership will be selected and organized. Stay tuned for further information regarding those efforts. We hope you will join in the excitement that our new districts and council will bring.
