National BSA operates 4 National high adventure Bases (Summit, Philmont, Seabase, Northern Tier) that offer the thrill of high adventure that runs at the core of the Scouting experience. Now YOU can experience a one-of-a-kind adventure, whether involved in a Scouting Program or not! Some of these can be done as a family, with your Unit or with a Council contingent.
Every few years the National BSA also runs a National Jamboree, which is a gathering of Scouts & Scouters throughout the Nation. This is attended as part of a Council contingent.
As part of the World Scouting program the World Scouting movement hosts a World Scouting Jamboree. The location changes countries each time. The World Scout Jamboree is one of the largest outdoor educational events for youth on the planet! Tens of thousands of Scouts from all over the world come together to camp outdoors and join in fun activities where they make new friends, learn about other cultures, and develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime. This event is opened to Scout between the ages of 14 and 17 from all 172 Member Organizations.
