For 100 years, Camp Gorton has promoted education, conservation, and leadership values to hundreds of thousands of campers, staff, and future leaders in our community and around the world. Be a part of this incredible centennial celebration to honor the history, legacy, and traditions of the last active Scout Camp in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

We will celebrate 100 years of wilderness camping, Scouting fun, and personal growth as we re-introduce Camp Gorton to our community. There will be multiple special guests, and fun events to help us celebrate.
Adult registration fee is $50, youth 11-18 are $15, and kids 10 and under attend free! Your registration fee covers a delicious lunch, a souvenir patch, and all the programs and activities for the day, plus a donation to support summer camp activities and ongoing facility maintenance and improvements.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Theodore (Ted) White
Dr. White is the Director of the Division of Cell Biology and Biophysics and the Marion Merrell Dow Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. White’s publications repeatedly move the field of drug response and drug resistance in pathogenic fungi into new and exciting fields. For those of us who are not cell biologists, he helps make more effective treatments for nasty ailments!
Dr. White is an Eagle Scout from Troop 63 (Corning, NY) and served as the Waterfront Director at Camp Gorton.
Dr. White is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology, an honorary association of the American Microbiology Society. His career includes posts at the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, the University of California San Francisco, and the Netherlands Cancer Institute. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and a B.S. from Cornell University.
